Dementia Prevention Fund

About This Fund

Despite the significant progress made in the understanding of ageing and dementia, successful dementia prevention strategies have not yet been made available. Dementia is a slow progressing and indolent neurodegenerative condition that evolves over many years. This prolonged development phase strengthens the concept of dementia prevention during the early phases via early identification, even prior to symptom development.

Focus Area: Prevention

Grants Distributed

With the assistance of our Medical and Scientific Advisory Committee we are searching for projects aiming at effective dementia risk reduction through early detection of disease progression, prior to symptom development. Prevention is a key pillar of the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and we are determined to make a contribution in this very important piece of the overall fight. Delaying the onset even by a few years would make a significant difference in people’s lives.
